Every Viking earns a light. Green, yellow, or red. Your light isn't given — it's measured. And it's measured at full speed, the way the game is played.
Three categories. One clear rule for each. Know your light before you let it fly.
You can shoot it. Open. Contested. Off the dribble. The defense respects you and you respect the work that earned this light. Don't hesitate.
You can shoot when no defender is within an arm's length, in rhythm, off the catch. If a defender is closing, pump-fake and attack or move the ball.
The shot is not in your game yet. Drive it. Kick it. Pump-fake. Make the right play. Put in the off-season work and we'll re-test together.
The Star Drill. Five spots, five shots per spot, full speed. Twenty-five shots total in each zone. We test mid-range and three-point separately.
We run it every week or two. Your light is your best three scores from the last month — not your best ever, and not your worst.
Earn them. Don't expect them.

Every player knows where they stand. If you don't know your light, ask. Shot selection isn't a guess — it's a discipline.
Yellow shooting a contested three when the team needs a stop is a possession we don't get back. The light system protects the team — including from you.
Two consecutive tests above the threshold to move up. One great day proves nothing — sustained work does.
Your light isn't permanent. Put in the work, hit the numbers, get promoted. Slack off, miss the numbers, get demoted. The standard is the standard.
