Summer ball is officially on the calendar. Both the Varsity / JV group and our incoming Freshmen / JV2 group have full schedules now posted, and we'll be in the gym, on the road, and in college team-camp settings from late May through mid-July.
What's on the slate
The Varsity / JV calendar is anchored by four major travel events: the Payton Pritchard Classic in West Linn on June 6–7, The Big Stage in Beaverton on June 16–17, UW Team Camp in Seattle on June 22–23, and UO Team Camp in Eugene on June 27–28.
The incoming Freshmen / JV2 group has their own developmental track — two weeks of Incoming Freshmen Camp (May 26–28, June 2–4), followed by Summer Ball Practice through June, three "2 Games" Saturdays, and Future Vikings Camp where they'll help run our youth program.
Why this matters
This is where the season starts. Not in November when the ball tips — right now, in June, with the work nobody sees.
Summer ball is where habits get built. Where the freshmen meet the seniors. Where the team chemistry that wins league games in February starts coming together. We're going to put miles on the rental vans, sleep in AirBnBs, eat a lot of team dinners, and come back to North Salem ready to compete.
